To create a Kit Configuration, access the left side menu and click on "Inventory" and then "Production Kitting".
While on the production kits screen, click "Kit Config" tab at the top of the page.
A new screen will show the different kit configurations that have been set up for your company. If there are not any items listed, then that means you do not have any kit configurations set up. To create a new "Kit Configuration" click the green "Add Kit" button at the top right of the screen.
When “Add Kit” is clicked, a new box will pop up asking for the "Kit SKU" - this is a SKU that must be known by the system. This is the SKU that will be updated with new inventory quantities once the team has completed any production orders for this kit. When the team has completed the production of this SKU, the Virtual Warehouse will also be updated with the created quantities. So this SKU needs to match what you have in your ecommerce platform (i.e. Shopify) so that once the kits have been completed, the items will be available to sell on your website.
When the SKU is typed into the Kit SKU box, some drop-down options should appear. These options are SKU descriptions that have been entered in the system. Choose the correct description to match the SKU for the kit that needs to be built.
Once a SKU has been chosen from the drop down menu, more options will appear, allowing the addition of a Kit Name. The SKU is also shown on this screen (highlighted yellow below). This is also the screen where the kit items can be added (Click on "Add New Row").
Each time a new row is added, there will be a new option to add the SKUs that are part of this kit. There is also the option to choose the quantity for each item in the kit. When all items have been added, click "save" and the configuration will be saved.
This Kit will now show in the list of Kit Configurations that have been set up. Kit configurations can be edited by clicking on the little pencil icon on the line to the right. Configurations can be cancelled by clicking the "x" at the end of the line.
Once a configuration has been created a production order can be created.
